The primary resource used by numismatists for coin valuation are coin price guides, of which there general online price guides for coins from the United Kingdom and select ancient coins. Valuable world coin pricing information can be obtained from detailed results of previous completed coin auctions, may of which are posted on the internet. Worldwide internet auctions also provide a valuable gauge in the valuation and demand for particular world coins. Other online resources, such as discussion boards, email groups, newsgroups, and numismatic websites of coin dealers and collectors are in abundance and can provide excellent information regarding coin valuation.
